i have a trim unit that has the pump in the back compartment of the boat with hoses running out to the moter. the moter will not raise. could it have a leak keeping it from building pressure without being able to see oil coming out anywhere.::

Make sure the rev. lock valve is screwed all the way out counterclockwise.

The reverse lock is the knurled black knob on the base of the pump/resevoir unit.

A lot of those motors came w/o PTT, and they had a manual reverse lock down. Is it possible someone installed PTT and didn't remove the reverse manual lock down? Try tilting it with control in forward.
