OK , I have a 14' with live well the intake for the aerator pump will bring water in, my over flow tube allows water out when reaches drain screen on top, for continuously fresh water thing is both are under water so how does the water drain out of drain tube if pressure is against the tube drain hole since I am in a bigger body of water the pressure would be greater outside the boat than the amount trying to come out of my tank.

The size of the body of water had nothing to do with pressure. It’s all about the drain relative to the water line.

If the drain is below the water line you will have to wait until you trailer the boat.

If the drain is above the water line like mine, it drains when you pull the plug

On my old 14' from years back, you either drained it when out of the water, or you flipped a valve and it would suck the water out while underway...kind of a goofy setup but ut worked. I never use a livewell, if I keep it, I eat it, otherwise it goes back.. My two livewells are plugged and used for storage.. I plugged them, because one day after purchasing my boat, I decided to flip a switch to see what it was for.....yep my storage compartments needed to be dried out..

ok, so how do I circulate water? I thought that's what overflow was for to allow water to leave so, the aerator pump's fresh water in which also creates air & refresh's/ replace old water. Will I have to modify this tank to accommodate for a above live overflow for removal of old water for a semi continuous supply of fresh or semi fresh water? seems of a poor design on this boat then.as each will feed into the tank the aerator when on so that can only be used until tank is full then overflow will allow until? 14' Mirror Craft North Port Troller

Put a cycle timer on the pump
wont that only allow water to come in? I need it to replenish as well so water has to go somewhere. last boat i had had a side overflow so no matter how long aerator on it would allow water to be circulated out for fresh to come in/ oh yeah and btw if i pull boat out the over flow only going to allow water to come out untill reaches top of tube ! how does rest of water come out screw the tube out every time? man this is getting to be a pain

I did forget to mention that there is a pull switch on side says accessories. For a two wire hook up but no other drain ports

Guess I didn’t understand your question.

My over flow goes out a thru hull in the wall of the tank. To drain the tank I simply pull the plug.

Sounds like you have to unscrew the stand pipe to drain completely

I'm lucky to know the 2 compartments I do have one in bow for anchor and whatever & side compartment for fish poles & docking pole. thing is this was put in by Mirror Craft // is why i am not getting fact of no overflow while in water& have to pull overflow tube when out of water to empty tank totally& not allowing for circulation of water it a fill and leave it? fish die quick without air & clean water flowing/ Do you have any idea what the ACCESS SWITCH is for on side of tank? it's a pull-out & push in feature I am taking pull out is turn on & push in is off but for what?

yeah, a screwy set up/ last boat had 3/ one for intake aerator/ another overflow on side & bottom valve to drain out completely. This is going to be a Lil problem as I see now why I have to change overflow tube another owner snapped original one off at base. I thought was drain valve as did not see any overflow at first. looks like i am going to be using a portable aerator for air & deal with whatever water is pumped in until i am done or a manually bucket some out and then replace oh boy just what I wanted NOT! LOL! IT'S WHAT I GET FOR DOIN A QUICK BUY SAV. A GRAND $ Long run wasn't worth it next boat going over with fine tooth comb. make sure i have all I want & everything I need. thanks for info would never think about the removal of tube until we started talking!! One thing ! Do you have any idea what the ACCESS SWITCH is for on side of tank? it's a pull out & push in feature I am taking pull out is turn on & push in is off but for what?
