I have a tsunami 1200 gph pump currently installed. I bought the same pump and setting up the pump on another auto switch. Should I setup another hose output or will a two way into the current hose setup work? Under assumption they would operate at the same time. I believe the hose is a 3/4 inch or 1 inch not at home to check.

The usual size is 3/4. I'd add another hole because your output will be limited to maybe just slighly more than the output of one pump. You can only flow so much at a time through the output.

You absolutely need a separate outlet for the second pump.

Concur and while you are in there wiring it up get and audible alarm on it so if it fires you know you have a problem, i did this to mine several years ago and it saved me once or twice when I left the plug out.

Ditto on advice to use separate outlet. Even more important then the flow restriction is if one pump runs and second one fails and doesn't the water can flow backwards thru non operating pump because bilge pumps are not positive displacement pumps.

Bad Assumption.
If they always worked there would be no need for the second one.
The assumption is one will fail and the other one will save your bacon!

Yep. I have a two battery set up (with auto charging relay) and have the pumps wired to separate bateries as well.
