I bought a pair of glue on fishing pole holders for my PVC boat. I am not sure about which glue to use. I am second guessing my initial idea just to use the same glue that came with the boat's patch repair kit. Does anyone have experience with doing this on a PVC boat?

Isn't this is an inflatable and RIB thread or is it not? Even I know that glue is the ONLY way to put rod holders, oarlocks, sterns, anything on a Rib/Sib. I found the answer to my question on another RIB/SIB forum. Weaver's

for what its worth I got the below from saturn rafts when I asked them about my saturn boat that seems to be leaking at the seams, this is what they sent me as it pertains to adhesives

For basic PVC to PVC repairs or accessory attachments, patches, small seam repairs, etc, we recommend the Clifton Urethane Adhesive (or similar) or Stabond. For harder plastic style fittings/accessories and tougher repairs, like fittings and larger seam repairs, we recommend the Stabond. If you have to get just 1 adhesive for use with everything, we would recommend the Stabond, since it is a great multi-surface adhesive and can be used on other surfaces/repairs other than the boat:

Adhesives:
Stabond Adhesive: http://www.nrs.com/product/1903/stabond-adhesive
Clifton Urethane Adhesive: http://www.nrs.com/product/1901/clifton-urethane-adhesive
Solvents:
  • MEK- Methyl Ethyl Ketone or
  • Acetone
