I have a1994 Regal 256 that has the crappiest ladder they could ever install on a boat. It barely reaches the water (the platfor is 6 to 8 inches above the waterline). I wanted to add a longer ladder but here is the problem. The built in platfor is actually about 4 inches thick and hollow. There is no way short of removing the engine to reach that hollow space.
I wanted to add an undermount ladder since space on the platform is limited. Would the toggle anchors they use for mounting seat pedistals be strong enough? Or does someone make a ladder kit to make it a lader compartment with a hatch like in the newer boats?
Thanks
Mike
