Adding a charging system to a 1995 9.9 Merc

I have already purchased the rectifier required to make the engine able to charge a battery, what i need to know is what wires go were> do i splice into some thing????? Every wiring diagram i look at does not show anything.
As always, any help is great

You also need the proper stator. There will be 2 yellow wires coming from it that get connected to the rectifier.

Really? I asked the Merc shop for a charging system upgrade and they sold me the wiring kit and rectifier, here is my serial number, see what you can dig up as everything i can see does not require any other additions #0G155625
Though that may be what is making me scratch my head

I just purchased a CDI 172-6617k! stator for this motor. I pulled off the flywheel and found another stator under there already that only has 2 wires. This is all wired into the switch box. I want to install the new stator that has 3 wires. I also have the rectifier installed that is needed. Now the question ------- what is the wiring circuit now? And guess what--- the manual shows nada.

The CDI stator that you have is just a stator and dose not have the charging coil that is needed to charge a battery. CDI dose not list one that you need. The stator on the motor only has two wires to the switchbox and get its ground frome th mounting screws. The CDI unit has two wires to the swbox and one that has to be grounded. You will have to go to the dealer or the Merc web site inorder to get the stator charging coil one pice unit needeed to do what you want. One for a 15HP motor will probbly work on the 9.9 also.
You can check out Ebay for one there. It will have 4 wires, two for the swbox and two yellow for the recitifer.
