So I removed the outdrive (1996 Volvo Penta DP-S) to try and change out a ruptured hydraulic line but the pivot housing is still preventing me from accessing the hydraulic lines. Does that need to come out as well? Also, how do you turn an outdrive manually? I have power steering and it is locked up. Thank you in advance, Eric

Yes of course it needs to be removed, You need 1/2" Allen wrench, remove plastic nipple and a continuity cable portside upper corner transom side of pivot housing, and now is the time to replace your trim sender as well.
