Working on a supposedly 1987 four cylinder Merc 100, oil injected, serial OB346811.
The accelerator pump is bad and squirting out fuel--radically at higher RPM to the degree where the engine is starving. And yes, it is an accelerator pump for gasoline, located just below the throttle cam, not the oil injection unit.
Question: I can see a diaphragm and the two pump halves are held together with four Phillips screws. Is the pump rebuildable or do I need to buy a whole assembly? Are the parts available here on iboats?
As usual, thanks in advance. Frank.
