You do mean 538 Electoral votes right? One for every seat in the House(435) + every seat in the Senate(100) + 3 from the District of Columbia.We all only have ONE representative to Congress, of course.
But the number 435 should ring a bell, as you see it every 4 years in the Electoral Vote count? Now you know where they get that number, too!
