Its the law here that all school busses must have them, no point though.<br /><br />I've never wore a seat belt on a school buss in my life, no one, and I mean no one wears a seat belt on the school buss, thats just the way it is.

Some interesting things I found about school buses,<br />Most buses are not required to have seat-belts. According to the National Transportation Safety Board, the reasons buses are not required to have belts are; twice as many students die each year getting on or off school buses, than they do riding them; Lap restraint belts are unlikely to prevent deaths caused by head-on collisions, (the cause of most on-the-road bus fatalities); Seat belts on school buses are used improperly, and often used as instruments of violence; Money spent on seatbelts would be better spent on driver training, and bus maintenance.<br />All of this is the reason the NTSB recommends not putting seatbelts on buses.<br /><br />This information could be outdated.
