This one is unbelievable.
I launched my boat yesterday (after removing the stern straps but that?s another post) and parked the car and trailer in the usual area.
Came back after a wonderful day tied up and went to get the car and trailer.
In front of my car was a Maserati.
To the side was a Land cruiser with a massive trailer.
Behind was another.
To the side was a brick wall!

What stupid *&^** would ever dream of doing that!
No way out. Boat in the water and I really don?t need this.
I tried finding the owner but was told that they all arrived together and went out together
A few yard hands came to see the predicament and we came up with a solution.
We unhitched the Landcruiser next to mine and wheeled the trailer away.
Unhitched mine a pushed it aside so that I could reverse the Pilot out.
Pulled my trailer out and hitched up. Done.

The best bit was that I left the Landcruiser with the trailer back as it was so that it looked like I must have levitated out of the spot.
Big surprise when he gets home??.I donated my towball padlock to him. Firmly secured. Sucker! Get out of that one!!

The replacement padlock will be the best few dollars I?ve ever spent!!!

Re: A padlock can be so satisfying........

No kidding what an idiot. Last year at one of our usual vacation lakes, we pulled in to launch. The access holds maybe 7 total rigs and the quarters are the tightest I've seen. Earlier in the day the spots must have ran out so a truck with a very long Ranger boat trailer just parked dead center of the narrow access ramp a few feet in front of it. There were maybe 20 nasty notes under his wipers. The other one that really makes me mad is when on a busy weekend the parking spots will be taken up by a car without a trailer. One guy with a boat and a few cars of nonboaters come with him and take one spot per car. Just unbelievable but that lock idea is sweet revenge.

I can neither confirm nor deny that in a similar situation did I nor anyone in our crowd put a vehicle and trailer on blocks.....

Would have been funny if you unhooked him and then locked his trailer off of the ball...

That is exactly what I was going to do when I jumped out of the car but I didn't want to spend too much time doing the darstadley deed.
I thought of just hooking the chains on and padlocking the ball thingy shut but he would have been able to get help at the yard.
Much better for him to have a lovely day on the water, get home at about 9pm and then try unhooking.
What are the chances of him having a hacksaw to hand!

Absolutely made my day.

That is funny!

I have noticed a direct correlation between the amount of money people have and their consideration of others, nice to know there are idiots in other places than just the US.

Funny. and I am glad you put the lock on his trailer and not thru his winshield. Nice gesture.

1. Who tows their boat with a car???... girls?

2. Your lock would only be a problem for me for about 5 seconds, just enough time for me to preheat it with the "blue tip wrench" and then hit the oxy!

3. Next time you may want to pay attention to where you park!

I wouldn?t normally reply to a post like yours but I?m not really sure your response was necessary or in the context of my post or the forum in general.

I call a car a car because that?s the way I was brought up and please don?t reply questioning my mother of fathers ability to do that.
I drive a 4x4 if you care to look further than your already oversize nose. What would you rather I call it big bold man?
What do you call yours? My big butch 4x4 mountain climbing 7.5 liter ManMobile? It?s a damn car whichever way you look at it.

Big man with the big Oxy Acetylene kit. My friend, Take it in the light hearted manner it was intended. I really don?t care how YOU would deal with it. It was satisfying for me that he will take longer to remove the padlock because he doesn?t have the BIG BLUE TIP WRENCH that men have and he also drives a car.

My dad always told me to get my facts right before accusing someone?..how do you know where I parked? Do you think I would have bothered writing the post, for the amusement of my friends in the forum if I had parked somewhere incorrect?

My friend, take a lesson from people who post in this forum. It shouldn?t take you long (thinking about it, it might take you forever) to get an idea that this isn?t the place to attack people.
Calm down, drink less, be happy.

Re: A padlock can be so satisfying........

i would also have put a locking hitch pin on his hitch if possible would keep him busy for awhile since he could just pull hitch pin and drive up. great job though if i workd in that yard i would not have put the trailer back on i would have put it as far away as possible. seriously some people need to think before they do stuff like that, hopefully they learned a lesson that day.

That was a funny story and a nice way to vent the frustration of being boxed in by some knuckleheads. Just goes to show there are inconsiderate dipshidiots anywhere you go... even here.
