Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the foot control on a motor guide 70lb brute? My e71 lost the first two speeds
and I am replacing it with the brute. I have read the motors lose those a lot in that model. I got the brute and have to put a
push button switch in the foot control and the wiring in the two are simular but there are a couple different wires. The brute is a 12/24 the other is a 24 volt.

Second, and I know is gonna sound dumb but can someone explain to me how to lower a manual jack plate. I have a
manual power lift jack plate and need to lower it an inch. it has two large bolts on the outside of each side and one large bolt down the center.
Thank you

Re: A couple questions

Loosen the 2 bolts on each side of the jack plate.

Turn the large screw/bolt that sits vertically in the center.
If you have a newer model like mine, you can access the screw from either the top or the bottom.

Re: A couple questions

My brother in law and I tried lowering the jackplate this weekend, raising it was easy but we could only get
it to lower about a 1/4 inch. I could be wrong but I think it is bolted too high on the jackplate. Looking at the
bolt holes on the motor you can see where it has been mainly bolted in a different hole. I guess I am going to
take it and have someone look at it and see about getting it lowered. We tried a 4 blade 24 pitch trophy plus
on it after we lowered it as much as we could. It planed out good but was way to easy to over rev it.
