!985 Evinrude 15 HP motor

I am still having trouble with my motor overheating. I have changed everything. water pump, thermostat. The motor runs for about 10 mins amazing! After that it just overheats on me and wont turn on. The water is coming out fine out the pin hole and jet hole, and after 10 mins it just stops and overheats the motor. Any ideas on what might be the problem?

If your old water pump had chunks missing.....they probably are lodged in the power head. You are going to have to remove the head and inspect the water passages on the power head, replace the water diverters in the block and check the thermostat. I have seen new thermostats that don't work.
