Ok, I learned something yesterday!!!
Ok, I learned something yesterday!!!
Well, I must have been in some sort of an OMC INDUCED "FOG" .........I thought I would have to something SPECIAL to remove my OMC King Cobra drive system and replace it with a 1997 Mercruiser Bravo.
I removed ALL remnants of the OMC system and proceeded to investigate what I'd have to do to make the Bravo fit in the existing cutout.
I assumed that I'd have to change something like the main hole, bolt patterns etc etc etc.
Well.........I put the Bravo transom up to the OMC hole.......Not only does the hole match.....but the bolt pattern IS EXACTLY IDENTICAL!!! (Well I'll have to drill 2 additional holes for the top two studs.......but it fits PERFECT!!!!)
Did I miss something?
Anyway, Everything fits. Imagine that!!
