I am going to purchase an old Glasstron 20 ft boat with a mercruiser 120 I/O. It has set a while but parts look clean (no salt water useage). I love the old tri hulls as a stable fishing platform and was wondering if it would be worth the costs to completly go through the engine and drive train? I know this is a general question with a lot of variables restoration costs but will it be worth it in the end. Is this model notorious for breakdowns, repairs, etc ? If not doable I will seal up the outdrive, add outboard brackets and go that route. I apologize for this being such a general question with a lot of variables... just need your thots.
