I have 1971 Johnson 125 hp 125ESL71C tha would bolt up t need a lower unit> does anyone would know if the lower unit from a 1973 Johnson 115 hp 115ESL73M would bolt up
1973 was the change year to the Powershift II system. 1972 back to '69 are compatible with your motor. A quick check shows your motor uses a 13:26 ratio. That was used on 1969 85s, 1970 85 & 115, 1971 & 1972 all V4s (85, 100, 125).
