Hi I had time to do the timing deal this weekend I did it just the way the volvo book said to I was able to get it not to die this time but it idles a little rough and I can not give it any gas or it just dies help if any one can .Thanks DZ

If the manual isn't in the cards, then fixing it definatly isn't. With any EFI engine there is testing methods you need to follow to locate the problem. These methods also include DVM's, code readers of some sort, and fuel pressure gauges for EFI systems.<br />The first thing you need to check is the basics.<br />Fuel system. including fuel pickup, antisiphon valve, lines, fuel filter, water in system, no air leaks.<br />Ignition system. Spark plugs, cap, rotor, wires, all electrical connections. Timing and advance timing.

Hello I got out bid on a set of factory volvo manuals on ebay that a guy bought for his boat and sold it so I bought a manual on cd rom hope that will help me fix it. Do you think I can put the motor on a scan tool and help me narrow it down a little?? Let me know please.PS It is a volvo factory cd rom not a seloc. Thanks DZ

Veddy Interresting...... Volvo doesn't sell manuals on CD's (That I am aware of, but we are only gas and diesel dealers).
