i just got a new top end piston kit and now that the motor is out of the jetski i dont know if i should just use the oil pump or just block it off what you guys think or will do???

Bud, this question has prob been beat to death, I do not use a block off because 2 strokes mix the lube with the fuel and if your carb fails and you try to keep turning it over. Guess what, no oil to the cylinders. I turn mine over and i can watch the oil enter my engine.
I have been told the only reason an oil pump on a jetski fails is because the hoses fall off. Get some top notch hose clamps and run the scooter the way it was meant to. Mine is a 92 with 145 psi on both. I think 150 is from the factory.

Oh yeah, the other side will say block off is the only way to go. Ask them how many times they rebuilt their motors. I bought mine used 2 years ago (92 650cc) and the carb did fail. After carb rebuild still running like a new ski.
