Try doing a search above. I am still running iol injection on my 89 Merc 200 hp w/o any problems. I have read some posts in the past, so may find it that way.

First off, your main oil tank should not be completely full you need some air space for the tank to build preasure. Second you need to varifie that your under the cowl tank is actuall getting oil from the lower tank and purged of ALL air by running the engine with the cap a bit loose untill oil starts flowing around the cap. Other than this, you need a manual to go through the whole procedure for checking the oiling system.
