As I understand it any motor can be used in salt water it just needs to be flushed when you are done.
Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.
yes your good with proper maint you can run it in salt .
you will need to flush it and rinse motor wont hurt it ,spray with wd
or some oem stuff ,go for it
