Hello all! I am hoping to find some solid answers here. I have a 1995 17.5 Crestliner Sportfish. I understand that it is a double-hulled aluminum. My question is about the finish on the hull; it is a 2-tone color, blue on top, white/cream on bottom. I find that when I wipe the boat off it is streaking blue color onto the boat and rag. The color is also, obviously faded. So, since it is an aluminum hull, is it just painted, or is it gel coated? What steps can I do to take care of the color, preventing it from bleeding off and also to protect it. I see so many products out there, it is mind boggling.
I thank you for your help!

Ayuh,...... Welcome Aboard,..... Tin boats are painted, no gelcoat,.....

Just treat it as any other painted surface,......
