93 115 gone gone

well had the 93 115 running, wouldnt go over 2000rpm . Took it to the shop, #1 cylinder 30psi, 2,3,4 90psi. Shops gonna charge me 1600.00 for complete rebuild and warranty. Worth it? i think it is. any other thoughts.

Well this is the forum if you want to DIY, get the factory manual and have a marine machine shop bore it out to fit an oversize piston, have them fit the piston, you do the assembly. Probably less than $800.

Check the prices to replace the engine, either new or used-then decide if you think it is economical to repair it or not.
