92 johnson 140 hp vro pump

I have a 92 Johnson 140 hp, I pre-mix the oil, but the fuel side of the VRO pump, part# 175109 is giving problem,
can I replace it with a non VRO pump, if so, what will be the part# or cind of pump?

There has been a lot of conservation about converting a vro to a regular pulse pump lately.
You can convert using a 3 port pulse pump like the one below. You will have to make a bracket to mount the pump to and do some rerouting of some fuel lines.
If you run a search, you will get some ideas on how to do it.

Check the Maxrules website. They will have a recommendation for a replacement fuel pump, and might have a rebuild kit for the fuel side of your pump.

Hello

Before spending a ton of money do the following

Go to Oriely's or auto zone and borrow their radiator cap test kit, remove the cap adapter from the pump and hose and get a 1/4 to 3/8 adapter and some 3/8 hose to allow hookup to the puls hose adapter on the pump follow attached troubleshooting procedure.

i'd do two pumps inline, just posted a few up with pics and info. i'd bury the vro with the fish guts.
