I've just got this engine (its been sitting around a while) and I was told it had now pump for the power tilt and trim.
s/n: 516114

I purchased a pump however I now think I've bought the wrong one the part number is:
9-18203

can you advise if this is the correct pump or which pump I need to operate the power tilt/trim and also where it goes? as I've never seen it fitted.

Thanks for all your help!

That is not the right serial nunbet for a 79 engine it should be 7 digits, with 6 digits it should 0_ ahead of the 6 digits and been 1987 or newer.

Andy, That motor had the pump mounted in the boat, and the two rams on the motor, right? I believe Arco makes a replacement motor and resevoir assembly, however, some of those have the wrong length armature. You might look for one of those Trim motor assemblies with an armature adaptor, which gives the armature the correct length. I believe the end of the armature should be flush with the edge of the resevoir.
