90hp and 48hp interchangable parts?

First post so its going to be rough but here goes...I just bought a 1989 48hp Johnson that never had tilt and trim. I found a used 1982 90hp johnson WITH tilt and trim( see where I'm going). Could anyone tell me if these parts will interchange or how I could find out which parts if any, will fit my 48spl. Thanks for your time. Oh, my boat is a 1989 14' palco ( I had never heard of itbefore I owned one)
