9.9 merc wiring help needed

Need help getting my Dad's pontoon to run, would like to use it over the holiday. About 12 years old, 9.9 merc, bought new with remote steering and control. Last fall it ran fine one day, the next nothing. New plugs did nothing, there is absolutely no spark or any other signs of life when turning over the motor. Got it out of storage today and started poking around, I think there are wiring problems under the dash, lots of corrosion but no obvious burned fuses. What I want to do is disconnect the wires at the motor and jump whatever I need in order to pull start the engine. Any clues? If so, work is Jgradinger@rhco.biz
