Here she is. The trailer is rotted almost through. If I had known how bad it was I'm not sure I would have towed it the 50 miles home ... but I'm glad I did.
My guess would be that trailer was rotten because someone was launching that boat in saltwater without a galvanized trailer, keep that in mind if you're going to fish saltwater with that boat.
From what I can see, that looks like a real nice boat.
We've taken a few things off and vacuumed it out a little bit. The prior owner appears to have been a master deck builder (for houses, not boats) considering the decking material and the amount of deck screws he used on everything. Now with the new trailer on and not having to worry about man handling this onto another trailer from dry ground Project #1 will be the new deck. There are no illusions here that the foam under the current 2 decks (as the current deck was screwed on top of the old decking material which looks like plywood) won't have to be gutted and replaced. I've seen several other threads on this process here and sort of know what I'm in for. By no means will you learn from a master here but it will be interesting.
Ripped up the deck and tore out the water soaked foam. We the. Found there was an ants nest somewhere so we wrapped the boat and bombed it a few times. Pics to come.
