I bit off more than I can chew on this outboard purchase from a neighbor. It's a special motor made for sail boats and pontoons. It's a long shaft and made woth work with a control box. It's a tiller handle, but you twist the handle and nothing happens. There seems to be cables that can be hooked up to make the tiller handle work. It's an electric start, but no start button. It has a short harness that comes out the front with a plug that would connect to the control box. And finally, he took the motor apart to change the water pump and seems to have lost the dirve shaft. SO, I'm looking for a long one piece drive shaft for it and possibly a control box. I just want to get my money out of it. It's got very few hours and my neighbor sold his pontoon boat that he used to fish fresh water lakes in Kentucky, but kept the motor and brought it to Savannah with him. Any help with parts? I bought it for my son, but he can't use a long shaft and he's found something else.
