Just purchased a cheap boat with a 50hp Force. Did a compression test and I have 150psi top cylinder and 75psi bottom cylinder. What should I be looking for?

Later Force engines had a tendency to brake piston rings cause the land for the top ring was to small.
It could also be carbon build up at the rings.
The rings could be stuck by carbon build up.

start by removing the head and checking the head gasket.

then look inside at the cylinder walls and pistons

Thank you, I will be pulling the head here soon to check.

Be careful when removing the head bolts.
They have a problem with seizing and breaking
off.
A can of PB Blaster, a propane torch and a small
hammer: spray, heat, tap (the headof the bolt)
and try to loosen, repeat if needed? Might take
a lot of heat??
