Just recently purchased & previous owner gave me a very old control box to go with it. He also bypassed the VRO. I ran it twice in the driveway making adjustments & it ran great, 15-20 minutes at a time. I put it in the lake made a few adjustments & drove for ? and the dreaded alarm went off. The faster I drove the louder & faster it got.
I replaced the Thermostat & water pump. Gave it a test run in the driveway . The water that coming out of the back is ice cold & the alarm comes on within 1-2 minutes. I shut it down immediately & felt the power head & cyl heads, they are not even warm to the touch.
