well it really sounds like its jumping out of gear i hope my mechanic will get it fixed ......i hope the gears and dog are still ok though

lower unit was fine no signs of jumping out of gear. what could it be ?

Have your mechanic take it out for a ride, with you along of course.

well my mechanic said the timing was off 10 degrees at idle and 5 at full throttle does this sound like it would make it miss/kick around at full throttle?
