89' 40 hp Evinrude fresh water flush

It seems that the fresh water flush point is placed just below a fin that makes it difficult to attach a flush bracket and water hose. How should I should I flush the engine on clean up. It is used in salt water. 1989 40 hp Evinrude

no more difficult than any other motor, here is my 93 40hp same motor, just a johnson. flush for 10 -15 minutes after each salt water use.
