the carb repair kits come with two different looking inlet needles-which one goes to which carb?

Two different needles, one will be a solid metal,
the other comes with a rubber tip.
Look into the seat and see what's in there??
If it's solid, use the one with the rubber tip,
If there's an o-ring, use the solid needle.
