So i built a dog house and there is an inch in between side of dog house and exhaust manifold will this be okay? Its a 4.3 vortec

The exhaust is water cooled so the heat should not be an issue, so long as it doesn't over heat.

My buddies bayliner is like that factory. 30 years no issues.
