86 131a engine and dist. Rotation

Starter was replaced by someone else and I believe that is where my running and cooling probs began.can anyone enlighten me on the rotations.thanks

If you are looking at the front, the engine spins clockwise.

The distributor spins clockwise looking from the top.

You should verify this. The alternator may have some arrows on the fan in front indicating the rotation. Also, your timing marks should go from higher numbers down to zero from left to right if it spins clockwise.

The engine is standard LH rotation viewed looking at the flywheel, distributor rotor turns CW

Not a surprise. I think if you check, they also have the wrong firing order ............... is it that Seloc :facepalm:
