Re: 84 supra no go

lol, thanks Bond-O. A little OT, but i was just looking at the intake manifold, and since the distr will be off soon, i was thinking of replacing the intake..(pics would show, its seen better days). The # on it 346250, but also, theres an "11" under those sets of numbers. I've tried xreferencing it, but only find the 346250 number with different # under it. Cant find any with the "11" under it. Will ANY #346250 intake work? Also, if so, will the Edelbrock 2101 Performer be a direct replacement...thanks again guys!

Ayuh,... Yer manifold appears to be a GM cast iron mid-rise 4bbl. intake,...

Any of the GM cast iron manifolds will fit it, so long as the Vintage is Right, as the intake bolt pattern changed in '86, then again in '96....

'n recheck the part number on the Carb yer lookin' at,...
I Believe the 14XX series are the Marine rated carbs,...

Bond-O, looks like my motor is 76-82, from what i've been finding. The intake on their now, looks lto have a few pinholes, thus, the reason for a new one. Found that the performer 2101 is a replacement. Not sure if i want to spend that kind of money or just find a 346250 replacement off fleebay for 75 buks. Also, when doing so, i read to install the FELPRO 1204 gaskets, since it cuts out the x-over exhaust, in which, since my carb..(edelbrock 1409) has the electric choke, that the new gaskets would help the carb benefit?

Re: 84 supra no go

What up y'all...Its beenn awhile posting, but have yet to find the time, til yesterday! So, new manifold installed (2101), and voyager est installed, but think timing is wrong. Not ready to fire yet. Anyhow, my dilema is the wiring. From what i'm gathering, i dont have a neutral interrupt button/wire, anywhere. Reason being, when i removed the old distr, there's now only 2-wires to be used...purple and grey.

The EST, comes with a random set of wires/plugs..(i'll post pics later), but the "useable" ones go from coil to distr. The "set" plug to be wired to boat, from what i can see, are just the 2 plugs, one with a purple and grey wire off it, and the other, is either, a black wire with a white wire looped back into the connector OR a black wire with the white wires "cut" so close to the connector, theres NO WAY to crimp/use those cut wires....i'm thinking, the pur / grey wires go to MY pur / grey, and the other connector with black wire, just gets grounded.
