Get yourself a CMC tilt and trim from I boats. I have one on my 70 hp and I love it. You can mount your motor higher due to the setback and gain more speed and efficency and they are very reliable.

I have a CMC as well (currently holding my 55hp Yamaha while I rebuild my 90hp Rude) and it works great.

For those who have a CMC especially the 70 HP. How high do you have your motor setting on the CMC unit & do you trim it all the way in coming out of the hole. I have a CMC on my boat which has a Johnson 70 on it & had some trouble getting on plane. But it could be another problem with my carbs causing the problem. thanks.

i also have a 1974 on a 15 ft cimmmaron bass boat . it gits on planne quicker never raises the frunt
