Hey everybody,

I'm looking to replace the interior of my Chaparral that I inherited from my Grandpa. I want to see if I can find a new complete interior for it, because I'd like to keep it all-original. Anybody know where I can locate something like this? Any and all suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Jason

Welcome to iBoats. . .

Usually boat interiors are replaced in the after market by local shops or do-it-yourselfers. . .

Pretty much custom work . . . nothing ready made, etc.

If you are asking if you can simply purchase a replacement interior off the shelf, the answer is...no. It will also likely be impossible to find identical original interior fabrics for a 30 year old boat becuase the fabrics that were made then are not made now.

Typically, the interior needs to be rebuilt. You can do this yourself, or have a shop do it for you. If you want to do it yourself - look through these restoration forums. If you want to pay someone to do it, try and get some recommendations. There are a number of shops who do this type of work. You want the boat original? You can do that. You want it modernized or changed...you can do that.

By way of example, check out post 141 on the link below. This appears to be a restored boat - same model as yours.
