82 Evinrude 50 want to add a tachometer

Is there a way I can add a tachometer to my 82 Evinrude 50hp? I would like a round analog gauge to mount in panel. Anyone done such a thing on an older motor? What is a descent brand tach that will work for me? Thanks.

Those type tachometers have been around for ages. Simply purchase a tachometer that operates off of a six (6) pulse charging system that has a dial on the back of it that can be set to number six (6).
