I'm getting 12V to starter & solenoid but starter does not activate. Does this outboard have an inline fuse like some Johnsons and Evinrudes? If so, where is it located. Motor was starting o.k. last summer so don't think its the solenoid.
No fuse on that one. Try jumping the red and small yellow wires at the starter solenoid. If the starter works then you have a problem with the Neutral start interlock switch in the remote. If it still doesn't work jump the red and the big yellow wires. If the starter works you have a bad solenoid. If it still doesn't work take the starter to an auto electric shop and have it tested. They can rebuild it if needed.
