77 850 thunderbolt trim

When I have it trimmed down I can lift the it up without any resistance. When I'm on the water and I throtle back the prop comes out of the water from slowing down. Is there air in my pistons or a seal is bad or mabie the dump isn't closing? Or is this normal?

Sounds like the reverse lock is not holding: make sure it is turned full left.

or it needs bleeding
