Not trying to hijack this post but I just gotta know what kind of transducer that is on your boat Watermann , never seen anything like it. Bet I would tear that off my boat on the first trip out.

The transducer is for a Ray Marine Dragonfly 7 Pro and it has downscan for structure, Chirp and a killer fish finder all in one. Not sure how I would tear is off my transom and not ruin everything else on there too including my Merc, you're not supposed to back your boat into anything since there's a prop back there.

It doesn't put up any more spray than other ones I've had if not adjusted properly.

Sounds like a great set up , nothing beats a good fish finder with gps and some modern technology. The length of the transducer just looks like something that I , ( having extremely bad tunnel vision when I'm in a hurry ) would walk into and break the first time I used it . Kinda like walking into my $#@#$@## trailer hitch on the back of my Tundra . lol.

You guys backing your boats into rock piles and walking into things sure make it tough to have anything nice

Seriously you'd have to work at walking into the transducer with a few hundred Lbs of motor in the way.

I don't see the need for downscan unit in a hunting boat, wouldn't help much for getting you ducks. If I were to then I would mount a through the hull transducer in such a boat as yours with just a digital depth reading like in my Chief.

I will be fishing out of this boat as much as I can. With Toledo Bend around the corner from me im hopin the down scan will help locate the crappie schools for me!

I returned the hook 5 because it was missing parts. Just came home with the hook 7 with lake pro! hoping to install this weekend and maybe get out after some flounder, reds, and trout down in Sabine!

we'll see how this works out. I can adjust it up and down if needed. Not the prettiest but it will be under water. Still need to scoot this rig back on the trailer. Hopin to cruise this weekend sometime for round two of the break in.

That ducer looks pretty close to the same size as mine, definitely wider.

10$ swivel seat bracket, aluminum angle, and cutting board instead of a more expensive Ram mount.. for now anyway!

Had another morning of breakin in. Opened her in a windy chop got to 31ish mph. Wont ever really need that speed a hole lot. Felt right cruisin mid to low 20s.
