76 evinrude

Hello everyone
i have a 1976 70hp evinrude runs good revs good and idles good but the compression is only 75 to 78 on each cylinder what could I do to correct this or do i just not worry about it because of how it is running. Thanks for any info. Trip

If it starts good, runs good and doesn't foul plugs I would just run it!

starts really good most of the time i dont even have to choke it starts right up idle is a little ragged when it first starts but thats about it. Do you think that if i decarb it, it would help it because it has been sitting about 3 years. Thanks Trip

The de-carb may raise the compression and clean out any old carbon.
