Should these motors have exactly the same power? My '76 seems a lot more powerful. Both motors have 11 pitch props. I took off the carbs and looked at the jets. Both looked the same. Are they the same size?
My guess is that both engines are pretty close to the same output: keep in mind the 76 is rated 35 hp at the crank, the 92 is rated 30 hp at the prop. All things being equal, they are probably about the same.
