what tool do i need to remove anode fin to drop lower unit it looks funky like a star socket or something

1/2 inch 16 point socket should work

I don't know what "funky" looks like nor have I ever seen a 16 point socket. Must get one of those.

The socket will be a 6 point or 12 point or if someone has used an earlier bolt, it will have an Allen key head
