Hi, i have a 65 hp johnson that wouldn't get spark. I noticed that there was a wire missing from slot 4 of the control box on the right side of the motor and that the neutral safety switch had no wire coming from the bottom of it. So i made a jumper wire and it got spark and got it to run great in the yard. But when i've been running it on the pond i've had problems. First it just would stopo cranking and be tempermental and would crank sometimes and not othertimes. So i replaced the solenoid and neutral safety switch and took it out and it ran great for ten minutes then just died instantly and wouldn't restart. Was i wrong when i made the jumper wire to connect to the safety switch? If so then anyone have any ideas whats wrong? Thanks
