cranks right up, sounds great then all the sudden spits up, out comes a puff of smoke, starts stuttering and trying to die out then goes back to running great. We have cleaned and adjusted the carbs, new spark plugs, checked the gas vents, and all that is good. Now we are down to the power pack, but I have people saying that it could also be the stator. The plug had no numbers on it. However,not sure if this will help, its a white motor 70 vro. I did find this on the right side of the back of the boat - FMC78308C686 thanks so much for your input.
