I got the MPI engine dropped in last weekend. I hooked everything back up, turned the key, let the fuel pump prime then started the engine. It fired right up. Turned the key to shut it down... Nothing.. it kept running, I pulled the coil wire to kill it. Tested the ignition switch and it's fine. Looked online and found a little info that pointed to the altenator. I disconnected the field wire(red/purple) from the balmar 91-150 -D restarted and the engine now shuts off with the key. Any one have insight on this problem, could the diodes be fried, maybe a voltage regulator problem.
Thanks again in advance.
