6hp sea horse 1978

I need help with this motor. Runs good pulls good as long as it is in a idle but if i shoot the gas to it the darn things acts like the prop is slipping or the shear pin has broken only to find out that it has not. Can anyone help. Thanks

could be the hub is spun in the prop. take a sharpie and mark a line on the outside of the hub. then run it. If the line is not still lined up then the hub is slipping.
