im needing electrical parts for my 69 merc1000 (thunderbolt ignition) i was looking for a stator and the iboats parts list only has 100 hp as a 4 cyl. mine is 6 ... how do i get the right part ?
The alternator stator for your engine is best found on a doner engine but mercury has the later one still available depending on the serial number. ok ... well ... can the wires be replaced in the old one ? the insulation on the existing wires are rotten and im sure are not working properly ... and id rather repair it if possible than to spend 300 bucks ...
